Renting a motorbike in Pattaya is the cheapest and most convenient way to get around. A little preparation before you collect the bike goes a long way towards a trouble-free trip.
1. Rental Deposit
A security deposit of THB 1,000–2,000 is required before the vehicle is handed over. The deposit amount may vary depending on the vehicle model and rental conditions.
The security deposit is held as a guarantee against any damage to the vehicle, loss of property, or additional charges incurred during the rental period.
The deposit will be fully refunded after the vehicle is returned and inspected, provided that there is no damage, loss, or outstanding payment.
If any damage or additional charges are found, the applicable amount may be deducted from the security deposit based on the actual cost.
Please note: The security deposit is separate from the rental fee and cannot be used as payment for the rental. The refund will be processed after the vehicle has been inspected.
2. Paperwork for the rental agreement
A Passport is normally all that is needed for the rental agreement. At our shop no credit card is required — booking is quick and straightforward.
3. Check the bike before you set off
We inspect every bike before handover, but it is still worth a second look of your own: tyre pressure, headlight and indicators, front and rear brakes. Taking a few photos of the bike before you ride is always a sensible habit.
4. Helmets are not optional
Thai law requires both the rider and the passenger to wear a helmet. We include a free helmet with every rental.
